History
Black Friday falls on the day after American Thanksgiving and is typically thought of as the busiest shopping day of the year. The name Black Friday comes from the idea that store owners balance books finally cross over to the black (profit) after being in the red (loss) all year long due to the explosion of shopper on this day.
Although it is often referred to as the busiest shopping day of the year, most often the busiest shopping day is usually the last Saturday before Christmas or Boxing day.
