Best Black Friday Laptop Deals Preview
Best Buy and Walmart – two giant retailers are facing off this Black Friday on the Laptop front. Both are offering a quality laptop for under $300.
Available now, Best is offering the eMachines eME442-V133 for only $279.00. Specs:

- AMD V140 2.3Ghz CPU
- ATI Radeon HD 4250 GPU
- 2GB DDR3 RAM
- DVD writer
- 250GB HDD
- 4 Cell Battery
- Windows 7 Home Premium
Not too shabby for $279…Best Buy is sure to sell a tonne of these.
Starting this weekend, Walmart is offering the Compaq CQ6-109W for only $288.00. Specs
- 15.6 inch LED display
- Intel Celeron 900 2.2Ghz CPU
- 2GB RAM
- 250GB HDD
- Intel 4500M Graphics chip
- DVD burner
- 6-cell battery
- Windows 7 Home Premium
The main difference between these two is the Guts…or CPU, AMD vs Intel Celeron and in this scenario AMD comes out on top with a more powerful and surprisingly cool running brain.
When it comes down to it, I’d lean towards Best Buy’s Laptop for performance, however Compaq’s tend to be more durable overall and the battery life / sexy LED display make it tempting….but in the end if I had to pick one it would be the Best Buy offering – CPU almost always wins in my books.
If this is any indication as to what is to come then we should be seeing similar laptops for going around $250…stay tuned!
